Two short tram films - Lisbon and Berlin

After a long break, Trampics is back - this time with two short YouTube films celebrating urban rail in Lisbon and Berlin. The trams in the Portuguese capital are 80 years old and objects of immense beauty - watch them climb the steep and narrow hills of Graca district, or sweep past the basilica at Estrela.

Berlin's trams are resolutely functional and 21st century. They also seem capable of great speed. Cyclists are ever present in the German capital, and it's noticeable how tram and bike cohabit the same urban living space with little friction.

Lisbon and Berlin - very different cities at opposite ends of Europe, but both an adventure playground for the tram enthusiast.
